American Revolution: The Colonies

About this Committee

The year is 1763, and Great Britain has just gotten out of the Seven Years’ War. To remedy their monstrous pile of debt, they have passed a series of taxes including but not limited to The Stamp Act, Sugar Act, Townshend Acts, and Intolerable Acts. These acts combined with a general dissatisfaction with British rule in the colonies have contributed to building tension and unrest among colonists, ultimately leading to the first Continental Congress and call for redress of grievances. A shot heard around the world, a ragtag army of volunteers against the biggest naval and military superpower of the time... Who will take the victory and the glory, and who will be left to lick their wounds? The US War for Independence committee brings forth the opportunity to fight alongside your countrymen for what you believe and get a firsthand understanding of one of the most influential fights for independence the world has ever seen.
